Since 1910, the mission of the Dental Center of Northwest Ohio has been to provide primary oral health services for underserved children, adults, and seniors in Northwest Ohio, to promote the value of good oral health through education and to serve as an advocate for those with limited access to dental care.

In 1910 we had a total of 500 patients -- today we treat over 21,000 patients per year.
With a deep commitment to prevention and education, the staff helps patients learn about proper oral care between dental visits. Simple, consistent care may help prevent painful tooth decay and other dental problems, such as periodontal disease and gum infection.
Older adults benefit from our HomeBound/Senior Mobile Unit, established in 1986 from a grant through the United Way of Greater Toledo. A dentist, dental hygienist and a dental assistant provide cleanings, examinations, fillings, extractions, and denture services to more than 3,000 patients annually. The HomeBound/Senior Mobile Unit is on the road daily, visiting long-term nursing care facilities and homebound patients.
The support of both the St. Marguerit d'Youville Foundation and the Junior League of Toledo, the vision of the Dental Center has come full circle with the further development of the Mobile Services Division, and with the addition of the Smile Express – which brings the dentist to the patient to establish a “dental-life-line connection”!
