Dental Resource Center Services for Partners of the DRC
The Dental Resource Center primarily works in collaboration with its community partners. Our partners are truly team members by assisting in awareness, education, outreach and referrals. Our list of partners doubled in the first twelve months of the project (Link to Partner lists).
The primary objective of the Dental Resource Center is to provide oral health education to parents and implement case management strategies as needed to assist families in overcoming the barriers to dental health care.
Our partners' work in this collaborative project plays a vital role in the success of this project. They provide a variety of opportunities to improve awareness of dental health and access to dental care. Their primary responsibilities are to:
facilitate training of their staff
offer parent education meetings
use the Oral Health Risk Assessment in their programming
make referrals to the Dental Resource Center for families needing dental care.
The Dental Resource Center (DRC) supports each agency partner with:
staff training
parent education speakers
appropriate education materials and supplies which may include: Curriculum Notebooks, Referral Notebooks, Dental Health Education kits
referral guidelines
case management services for families
on-going agency support in terms of seminars, logistics, etc.
