A toothache is something no child should have to experience. Unfortunately, many families in Northwest Ohio lack access to dental care either because they can’t afford it or they cannot find a dentist who accepts Medicaid insurance. Some live in rural areas where dental care is difficult to find. These barriers make getting even basic preventive care nearly impossible.
Dental care has stubbornly remained the NUMBER ONE unmet healthcare need for all children in Ohio and low-income adults. For more than 100 years, the Dental Center has worked to reduce and eliminate the obstacles that limit access to dental care for so many Ohio families.
Since 1910, the mission of the Dental Center of Northwest Ohio has changed little:
- Provide primary oral health services for underserved children and adults in Northwest Ohio
- Promote the value of good oral health through education
- Serve as an advocate for those with limited resources
We've created and expanded access to dental care for thousands of families throughout Northwest Ohio by establishing practices in areas where treatment options are scarce.
Each year more than 25,000 unique patients – including 11,000 children – receive treatment at one of our five locations, which include pediatric and adult offices in Toledo, and family practices in Findlay, Van Wert and Liberty Center.
We must do more, but we can’t do it without YOU. Please consider making a donation today to help the Dental Center continue to provide dental care for the thousands of children and families who depend on us. You can make a donation through the DONATE NOW button or contact us at 419-241-1644 to discuss giving options, including planned giving.
