What we do...

   Each year, thousands of low-income children and adults receive routine dental care at the Dental Center of Northwest Ohio with the assistance of our helpful and friendly staff.  Through funding from the United Way, an Ohio Department of Health grant and individual donations, these services can be offered to the community.

   Untreated dental disease can lead to: pain, infection, unnecessary tooth loss, low self-esteem, poor work or school performance, and in some cases, the inability to secure employment. From pre-school age children with severe decay to growing numbers of older adults on limited incomes, the need for the Dental Center's community education and dental services continues to grow.

Education

   The Dental Center also provides oral health education to the school systems.  We visit schools and teach young children about proper brushing and the importance of healthy teeth. 

Why Dental Care is Important...

  Daily home care and regular 6 month visits to the dentist are important.  Children's teeth should be checked as early as 1 year of age.  Many dental problems (some very painful) can be prevented if discovered early enough.

Our Staff

  We have a very friendly staff dedicated to making your dental experience a pleasant one.  The Dental Center has over fifty well-trained staff members with the experience to treat your dental needs. The mobile service unit travels with a dentist, hygienist and dental assistants.  The Mobile services unit reaches out to the community in Northwest Ohio to perform dental services on site.  Click here to see our staff.
