Giving Back Smiles All Over Northwest Ohio - Since 1910
Dental Assistance Project (DAP)
DAP is a dental treatment program for the homeless provided by the Dental Center of NW Ohio and volunteer dentists. Dental treatment includes exams, cleanings, extractions, fillings, partials and dentures. There is no scheduling for DAP, it is strictly on a first-come, first-serve basis. The first 8-10 patients are accepted with no guarantee the dentist will have enough time to see everyone. Each patient will have the opportunity to address at least one issue with the dentist the day of the visit. Dates are typically released around the first of the month and are sent out to the agencies. From June 2009 - present, $85,653 of donated services were provided.
Eligibility for Dental Care
- Must be living in a shelter or transitional housing program and have a referral provided by the agency - The referral must be updated each month if an individual returns on a monthly basis
